Pattern and Syllabus of JEE Advanced 2013 will be same as IIT JEE 2012

This is a positive update to all the students who are worried about the pattern of JEE Advanced to be held in the new two-tier examination for admission into IITs this year, while almost all the IIT’s voted for the subjective test for the JEE Advanced pattern, Joint Admission Board has decided to go with the old pattern for JEE Advanced, i.e., JEE Advanced syllabus and pattern will be exactly sames as that of IIT JEE 2012.

IIT Delhi had suggested that for 2013, both 60% and 20 percentile should be considered. IIT Delhi and Kanpur had proposed that for those who had cleared the boards in 2012, the eligibility criteria should be 60%, but JAB has decided against the same following top 20 percentile in 12th board and JEE Main as eligibility and decided on shortlisting 1.5 Lakh students.
