If Other IIT’s will not oppose new JEE, IIT Kanpur will conduct it’s own entrance examination

The opposition of new JEE is really catching fire at IIT Kanpur, the IIT Faculty Federation is very angry at Kapil Sibal not taking into account it’s suggestion for common entrance test, so earlier a proposal was made to conduct an IIT academic Senate meeting and the same accepted by the chairman Sanjay Govind Dhande , IIT Kanpur senate meeting will be held on 8th June at IIT Kanpur.

The IIT Faculty is strongly opposing the new two-tier format of Joint Entrance Examination, so much that it is contemplating holding a separate entrance examination for it’s Under Graduate courses if other IIT’s won’t oppose the new JEE format and continue with it.

All the issues regarding the IIT JEE and the new two-tier format of JEE will be discussed in the senate meeting that will be held on 8th june, while the main flaw that is being cited in the new JEE is giving numerical weightage to 12th board marks, which according to IIT Faculty will severly degrade the quality of incoming students to IIT’s.
