Rajasthan students have a ball at AIEEE results

Jaipur: Rajasthan students continue to hog the limelight in national academic results announced this year. Students from the state again stormed the AIEEE result with several of them from the coaching hubs of Kota and Jaipur securing positions in the top 1000.
Breaking the jinx, this year Jaipur too has produced a state topper Adarsh Jain of Cambridge Court High School, Mansarovar, bagging the fifth rank. Kota coaching students also excelled in the AIEEE.
The state toppers in AIEEE prefer IITs over NITs. “Brand IIT is bigger than all NITs put together. I prefer any of the IITs rather than the best NIT,” said Adarsh who also scored the 436th rank in IIT-JEE.
One student of the coaching institutes in Kota, Suraj Sanjay Jog, who secured AIR 24 also wanted to join IIT Bombay to pursue engineering in the electrical branch.
The AIEEE result was declared by CBSE early on Sunday.
Students who have cleared the entrance tests will get a college as per their rank. Experts hope that this year the Central Counselling Board would call over one lakh students for counselling. The online registration will begin very soon. This year, 10 lakhs students appeared in the AIEEE for admission in all National Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Technology and deemed universities. It is estimated that over 70,000 students from the state appeared in the exam.
Kota Career Point managing director Pramod Maheshwari said, “This year the trend is almost same as last year. But the numbers of students selected for central counseling are more than 11,000 from our institute.”
It was a celebration time in Kota coaching institutes as they again help thousands of students script success in the AIEEE. The campuses of the coaching institutes witnessed celebrations.
Allen Career director Brijesh Maheshwari said, “Two of our students are among the top 100 AIR.”
